Woman who spent $400 to bypass Disney lines shares if it’s truly worthwhile

Disney has introduced a new option to bypass long lines at its parks with the Lightning Lane Premier Pass (LLPP). But is the hefty price tag justified?

The LLPP, launched in October, allows visitors to Walt Disney World in Florida and Disneyland in California to access shorter lines for attractions. However, the pass is expensive, costing hundreds of dollars, with prices varying based on demand and the specific park.

For instance, Magic Kingdom’s LLPP ranges from $329 to $449 plus tax, while Animal Kingdom offers a more economical range of $129 to $199.

Disneyland’s LLPP is priced at $400 per day, with changes expected in the coming year. AJ Wolfe of the Disney Food Blog shared insights with DailyMail.com about the value of this pass.

AJ’s team assessed the pass at all Disney World and Disneyland locations, tracking their wait times and ride experiences.

“Each cast member did successfully ride every one in the park, with the exception of rides that were down for refurbishment,” AJ confirmed.

At Disneyland, the team used the $400 pass to complete one park in roughly six hours and the second in about four hours, managing 24 rides in a day. AJ noted that the pass’s value depends on your intended experience.

“It completely depends on your circumstances. If you’ve got a week-long trip in Disney World… then no – it’s not worth it,” AJ explained.

She suggests utilizing Disney’s cheaper Lightning Lane service or the standard lines for a week-long visit. However, for a single-day trip aiming to experience all rides in one park, the pass could be worthwhile.

One advantage is that the LLPP includes every ride, unlike the Lightning Lane Multi Pass, which excludes popular attractions like TRON or Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.

The main downside is the limitation of booking one park per day, which might not suit those who prefer hopping between parks.

AJ concluded that while the expensive upgrade is off-putting to some, Disney has always offered premium options at higher prices. She emphasized that the LLPP might be suitable for certain visitors but not for others, noting that Disney provides various options for different budgets and travel preferences.
