Anna and Lucy DeCinque, who call themselves the ‘world’s most identical twins,’ have shared why they’ve chosen to escalate their unique relationship by sharing a partner and planning to conceive at the same time.
The 35-year-old sisters share an extraordinary bond, including having similar careers, synchronized routines, and identical bedtime schedules.
One of the most notable aspects of their lives is their shared engagement to Ben Byrne, who is also a twin.
“We just feel like we’re one person,” the twins mentioned on TLC’s Extreme Sisters. Their relationship with Ben ensures they remain inseparable, eliminating the risk of distinct partners creating distance between them.
The sisters have been on a journey to conceive but have faced obstacles along the way.

In a 2022 episode of the TLC show, Ben shared, “We were trying to have babies, we have decided to put it on hold for now. There have been a lot of difficulties.”
Anna expressed, “Motherhood is beautiful but if I’m not doing it with my sister, I’m not doing it at all. It can’t happen. It won’t work. I don’t even want to think about it because I know we’ll be miserable.”
Their close relationship has sparked criticism from some viewers, with the twins admitting that participating in Extreme Sisters has intensified their connection.
“It made us realize how much we love each other and really can’t live without each other. And we work as one person,” they told Business Insider.
Having dated Ben for over ten years, Anna and Lucy explained the longevity of their relationship.
“He always treated us equally. He never separates us, and he doesn’t want to take us out separately,” they said.
For example, if Ben kisses one sister, the other receives a kiss right after, ensuring fairness.
“People need to accept it. Maybe people don’t agree with it, but we’re not hurting anyone. Love is love. That’s what we’ve always said,” the twins remarked.
They concluded: “We feel like we’re one person. We can never, ever be apart and we would never choose to be. This is how we want to live our life. We want to grow old together, die together.”
