WWE Hall of Famer “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan recently showed that his legendary status during his professional wrestling days was well-earned, after he single-handedly fended off a home invader.
The 68-year-old wrestling icon and his wife, Debra, were reportedly at their South Carolina home when a man in his mid-20s broke in via the front door on Dec. 8.
Duggan was able to fight the intruder down and then held him at gunpoint with his .44 caliber pistol until authorities arrived.
Wrestling Inc. reported that WWE Hall of Famer “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan recently encountered an intruder at his home. Duggan initially thought he heard more people outside his home and responded by turning off his Christmas lights and telling the intruder to keep quiet.
Duggan said the man seemed terrified, believing people in a neighboring house were trying to kill him. The outlet reported that the intruder was running from a group of individuals due to an unrelated legal issue.
Following the incident, Duggan contacted the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Department to handle the situation.
