What’s cuter than floating otter fast asleep? A baby otter pup sleeping on his mother’s belly of course!
The adorable duo were captured by photographer Connie Levenhagen in a pool outside the Monterey Bay Aquarium, in California.
“This baby sea otter was born in the ‘Great Tide Pool’ at the Monterey Bay Aquarium on 12/20/15,” said a zoo employee.
“Her mom is a wild, Californian sea otter that sought refuge in the pool to shield her against other animals and the stormy day.”
