Sloths are known for being a little on the lazy side, but one little furball took it to new extremes by stopping for a rest beside a busy highway.

Clinging to a post beside the road in Quevedo, Ecuador, a police officer stopped to see if the sloth required any assistance.
But the sloth looked pretty pleased with his choice of nap spot.
The sloth cooperated with the officer and assured him he hadn’t been drinking.
He didn’t seem too keen to leave his comfy metal post, though. It’s dangerous out there, officer.
But with some gentle persuasion…
… the police got this little guy home again.
So why did the sloth cross the road? To have a nap halfway, obviously.
