Zendaya may have let a major hint slip about how Euphoria will wrap up, with season 3 poised to finally show what comes next for its turbulent cast.
If you need a refresher (spoilers ahead), the last season ended with Cassie’s attempt to secure Nate Jacobs’ affection blowing up in spectacular fashion. Her pursuit culminated in a brutal confrontation, with Nate’s ex — and Cassie’s best friend — Maddy getting physical as the situation spiraled.
At the same time, Rue (played by Zendaya) was trying to hold onto sobriety while barely staying afloat after a year of upheaval that pushed her further toward danger.
From what’s been teased for season 3, Rue’s history doesn’t stay buried for long. The new footage suggests her past resurfaces in ways that raise the stakes, making everything feel more serious — and more volatile — than before.
And Rue isn’t the only one facing consequences. Cassie’s own past appears to collide with her present, with Maddy re-entering the picture just as signs point toward a future tied to Nate — including what looks like wedding implications for Cassie.

Zendaya, widely viewed as one of the show’s central forces, recently spoke about what this next chapter could mean for the series while appearing on The Drew Barrymore Show.
When Drew Barrymore asked whether season 3 would be the final installment, Zendaya responded with a surprise admission:
“I think so, yeah,” The Greatest Showman actress admitted, as Barrymore added: “I never want to ask questions like that, because it’s not my business, and yet, is this to be enjoyed knowing [it will end]?”
Zendaya once again said: “Yes, I think so.”
Barrymore then explained that before diving into the new episodes, she almost feels like she needs to understand the right “mindframe” going in.
Zendaya’s response suggested viewers should prepare themselves, telling her that a sense of closure is on the way.
It’s a tough prospect for fans who aren’t ready to say goodbye, especially given how the series has become so closely associated with its ensemble.
With performers such as Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, Colman Domingo and more, the series helped elevate a huge wave of talent — and that kind of lightning-in-a-bottle cast could be difficult to replicate.
The season is also being described as Eric Dane’s final on-screen role, with reports claiming he completed his last scenes before his death.
Those reports state the Grey’s Anatomy actor had been battling ALS, and that he continued filming while progressively losing muscle control.
After decades as a familiar and well-liked presence on screen, the upcoming episodes are being positioned as a chance for audiences to see Dane’s final work and appreciate the craft he brought to his roles.
