Trooper B. R. Wood explained how officers had stopped a driver after suspecting she was DUI. After the woman was arrested, the cops spotted her infant son covered in vomit on the back seat of the car.
Wood and his colleagues wrapped the youngster in a towel and took him back for a bath in the kitchen sink at police HQ. And they were rewarded with lots and lots of very, very cute smiles.
“He was the best little baby,” said Wood, “He had just started to nod off when Child Protective Services arrived.”
After his bath, the little one who had been “under the weather” for some time, cuddled up with his new guardian and there was even a teddy bear to keep him happy.
The baby is now with a legal guardian and safely under supervision of CPS.
