Orphaned Raccoon Rescued By Dog-Loving Family Thinks She’s A Dog, Too

Pumpkin was only a baby when she was found by Bahamas resident Rosie Kemp. Because the mother was nowhere to be found, Kemp and his daughter Laura Young decided to adopt the little raccoon.

When Pumpkin recovered from her injuries, including a broken leg, she moved in with Young, her husband, and their dogs.

“She instantly bonded with us and our two rescue dogs and follows me and our two dogs everywhere we go,” Young told The Dodo.

“She now thinks she is a dog… she is able to play and be rough with them and she respects them when they have had enough.”

This bundle of joy is just adorable.

“Raising her was (and still is) a full-time job.”

“They are so unbelievably intelligent, very aware, and I would say they are even able to express emotions.”

Pumpkin looks pretty cheeky, too.

Awww.
