In February of 2005, Cheryl lost her son Maddux Achilles to a condition called myotubular myopathy. Before laying her son to rest, she asked photographer Sandy Puc to take a photo of her and her husband cradling their baby.
This gallery captures the very essence of parental love, with each heart-breaking portrait being a testimony to the grief that every parent must endure while holding their little angel, whose life was lost too soon.
