Teen Battling Cancer Shows She’s Still A Princess, Poses Without A Wig For Photoshoot

17-year-old Andrea Sierra Salazar is a teen battling cancer.

Since she was 13 years old, she wanted to become a model.

Her latest fairytale-inspired photo shoot shows her at her most radiant — and without a wig.

After losing her hair from chemotherapy, Andrea also started to lose her confidence.

“Before chemotherapy I had always been a confident person, so when my hair started to fall out I would look in the mirror and I wouldn’t feel confident about myself,” Andrea said.

She experimented with wigs to try to feel better, but none of them were good enough.

Recently, she did a photo shoot with Texas photographer Gerardo Garmendia bravely decided to pose without a wig.

Andrea was scared at first to show her bare-skinned head, but then realized that she had no reason to feel ashamed.

“I should be proud. It’s not only about my outside beauty, it’s about the inside. That’s what really inspired the photo shoot without the wig,” Andrea shared.

She posted the photos to her Twitter account with a fitting caption, “Cancer doesn’t stop me from being a princess.”

She encourages her fellow fighters not to worry about losing their hair, that what truly matters is inner beauty and that, if you’re a kind person, it will show through.
