NYC-based makeup artist Johannah Adams, known on Instagram as Beyou.Byjoh, loves to experiment with beauty styles, and her latest designs quite literally rock.

She’s created geode lips and, like the awesome geode wedding cakes, they’re making the Internet go a little crazy.
“I have this geode necklace that my dear friend gave me as a gift,” explains Johannah, “I loved the gold and crystal texture so much. One day it hit me that I should try to create a new lip art using that as inspiration!”
“The crystal look is achieved by a process of mixing and layering. I start a mixture of a color, the gloss, and the crystals and press and distribute it on my lips.”
“I then just take loose glitter and press on more to finish the crystallized appearance.”
And the result is genuinely amazing.
It might not be the most practical lip art trend but who needs to eat or drink when your makeup looks this fabulous?
