After people reported seeing a mountain lion in Gardner Park, Kansas, US, local police set up trail cameras to catch the big cat.
It started pretty normally. They spotted a raccoon.
And a skunk.
And this coyote.
The police department updated their Facebook, assuring followers that they didn’t see a mountain lion. But they were “surprised” by some of the later images the camera caught…
Like this creepy gas mask dude.
This “wolf” in high heels.
These 100% real gorillas (ahem) squaring up to one another.
Some old lady with a Zimmer frame.
And whatever the heck this is.
It turned out a gang of pranksters had heard what the police were up to and decided to have a little fun on camera.
We’re mostly impressed by the amount of costumes they had to hand.
And the local officers thought it was hilarious, thanking the “persons responsible” as it “made our day”.
While Gardner Park might not have a mountain lion, we wouldn’t want to run into any of those creepy critters on a dark night…
