Ingredients:
1/2 pound ground pork
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Chinese 5 spice
2 tablespoons green onion, finely sliced
1 package round wonton wrappers
2/3 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon sriracha
1 orange, zested and juiced
1 tablespoon sesame oil
Salt & pepper to taste
Directions:
Mix first 5 ingredients together, season, and set aside.
Mix soy sauce, sugar, sriracha and juice together in a saucepan over medium heat, and reduce to a loose glaze.
Lay wonton wrappers down and spoon 1 tablespoon of pork mixture into each wonton. Brush edges with water, fold and crimp edges closed.
Heat non-stick pan on medium high temperature. Add sesame oil to coat pan and add dumplings one at a time, bottom end first.
Once all dumplings are added, add 1/2 cup of water, reduce heat to medium-low and cover for 3-4 minutes.
Remove sear-steamed dumplings from pan, put on a serving dish with Ponzu sauce and enjoy!
