Princess Charlotte, age 7, instructed her elder brother Prince George, age 9, on the protocols at her great grandmother’s burial on Monday as the Queen’s coffin passed past them at Wellington Arch.
On September 8, at the age of 96, Queen Elizabeth, who had ruled Britain the longest passed away quietly while being attended by relatives.
A video shows a 7-year-old telling her brother gently, “You need to bow.”
As the queen’s coffin passed, the little princess and her brother curtsied and bowed.
Princess Charlotte has occasionally given instructions to her siblings.
Earlier reports say Charlotte nudged her brother when “God Save the Queen” was playing at the late monarch’s Platinum Jubilee festivities. George swiftly straightened himself out and took his hand off the balcony ledge.
The magazine reported that the princess had once taken her younger brother Prince Louis’ hand and placed it in his lap to prevent him from waving past the right moment.
The new King Charles III, Queen Consort Camilla, Princess Anne and her husband Sir Tim Laurence, William the Prince of Wales, Kate Middleton, and two of the couple’s children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, all attended the funeral with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. However, they were seated in the second row behind them.
Prince Louis, who is just four years old, skipped the funeral.
Even disgraced royal Prince Andrew had a front-row seat, as did Prince Edward, his wife Sophie, and Princess Anne’s children, who were never working as royals at any point.
