A TikToker’s ‘life hack’ has sparked significant debate, with many highlighting a rather ‘juicy’ issue.
Some realizations can permanently alter your perspective, such as finally grasping the true meaning of ‘turn halfway through cooking.’
However, there are other so-called hacks that may not offer the practical solutions you’re looking for in life.
A TikToker, known as @_nourhan_sherif_, recently posted a video on the platform featuring a hack involving trash bags.
In the video, the TikToker demonstrates dropping an entire roll of trash bags into the bin, leaving the roll at the bottom while placing one bag around the top. This setup purportedly allows easy access to new bags after pulling out the filled one.
The caption reads: “I can’t believe I just discovered this! Watch me and thank me later #lifehack #smartwaystolive #lifehacks #kitchenhacks #kitchenhack #garbagehack #smartway #fyp #bombastic.”
However, whether this tip qualifies as a genuine hack has been hotly debated by social media users, who have taken to the comments section to share their views. Many have pointed out how a torn or leaking bag could lead to unpleasant and messy consequences.
One user commented, “It’s fun and games till a bag leaks all over the new bags underneath.”
Another echoed, “It’s all fun and games until there is hole and there is water or garbage fluid and ruins the rest of the other bags, no ty.”
A third remarked, “And if the bag leaked? The whole roll will end up in the garbage.”
“Now all the bags will smell,” claimed a fourth.
A fifth added, “Nope they do this at work and I hate it. Trash gets too heavy to be trying to lift with one hand and rip the other bag.”
However, some users defended the hack and criticized others for their objections.

“Everyone saying ‘what if it leaks’ MAYBE just maybe don’t put liquids in the trash???? Put them down the sink,” one user suggested.
Another wrote, “It’s scary to see how many ppl don’t pour their liquids from drinks/food/cooking done the drain or outside… trash cans are for dry trash lol.”
Someone else proposed, “This only works well in the office where you dont throw any leftovers from fresh produce away.”
Another commenter pointed out, “Y’all saying it’s gone smell but did y’all forget they got scented trash bags ?? nd who n they right kind out liquid n a trash and not the sink.”
Finally, one user simply described the hack as ‘geniusssss.’
So, what do you think?
