YouTuber Scott Wozniak made an ‘awesome’ discovery after buying an old iPhone from eBay.
While the iPhone 16 has recently been released and continues to match the price point of previous models, it is no surprise that some people, amid a cost of living crisis, are opting for cheaper, older models from sites like eBay.
It’s fortunate for YouTuber Scott the Woz, as this purchase revealed more than just an old phone. It contained an ‘insane’ surprise about a celebrity.
Scott Wozniak, who runs the YouTube channel ‘Scott the Woz,’ a ‘comedic video game centric variety show’ with over one million subscribers, took to Twitter to share what he discovered after purchasing the old iPhone.
His caption read: “I bought an old iPhone on eBay and its last owner knew Jason Momoa.”
Indeed, the four images Wozniak shared on Twitter reveal a contact named ‘Jason Mamoa’ in the old iPhone – close enough. Unfortunately for fans of the Game of Thrones star, Wozniak thoughtfully blocked out the phone number with his thumb.
The other three images show photographs with Momoa posing, two of which feature him sticking his tongue out at the camera.
It didn’t take long for people to flood social media with their reactions.
One Twitter user said: “Just thinking of the chances of getting this is slim to nothing. This is insane.”
“Holy that’s awesome,” another commented, while a third wrote: “Treasure.”
“Wait, WHAT?!” a fourth added.
Another user resolved: “This is the most random thing I think I will ever see on Twitter this month.”
In the pictures, Momoa can be seen sporting a similar expression to when he was spotted moshing at a Metallica concert in Los Angeles back in 2023.
The star of the upcoming Minecraft movie was recorded rocking out in a mosh pit with other fans, a clip that quickly went viral on TikTok. The actor later shared images from the gig on his Instagram.
Momoa had planned to attend the concert with his friend, Travis Snyder, who, unfortunately, couldn’t make it due to undergoing cancer treatment at the time. Momoa video called Snyder from inside the event with the band so Snyder could still meet his heroes.
