James Corden reveals he tried Ozempic and shares unexpected results

James Corden has recently discussed his experience with Ozempic and shared his insights with the public.

During a conversation with guest Richard Osman on his podcast This Life of Mine, the 46-year-old host revealed that he has experimented with the ‘weight loss’ drug.

But what exactly is Ozempic?

Approved in the US in 2017 for adults with type 2 diabetes, Ozempic is a weekly injection that helps control blood sugar levels by aiding the pancreas in producing more insulin.

Despite not being approved for weight loss, some doctors have prescribed Ozempic for that purpose.

As noted by UC Davis Health, the University of California’s medical center, Ozempic is not sanctioned for weight loss. However, a drug called Wegovy, which contains a higher dose of semaglutide, is approved for this use.

Experts advise against the use of Ozempic unless the patient has type 2 diabetes.

On September 19, the former host of The Late Late Show confessed: “I tried Ozempic, and it won’t be surprising to you when you look at me now, that it didn’t really work.”

Corden elaborated on his experience, stating that he injected himself ‘for a bit’ in the usual way but found that it only reduced his appetite.

He continued: “What I realized was I was like, ‘Oh no, nothing about my eating has anything to do with being hungry’.

“All this does is make you feel not hungry. But I am very rarely eating [just because of hunger].”

He humorously added that Osman was “looking at someone who’s eaten a king size, and when I say king size [Cadbury] Dairy Milk—one you give someone for Christmas—in a carwash.”

Corden added: “None of that was like, ‘Oh, I’m so hungry’. It is not that, it’s something else.”

Corden is not the only celebrity to speak about using Ozempic.

Earlier this year, comedian and actor Tracy Morgan revealed he had been using the drug to help with weight loss, joking about it on The Tonight Show.

When asked how he stays in shape, he responded: “Well, that’s Ozempic.”

He further joked: “I’ve learned to out-eat Ozempic. I out-ate Ozempic. I’ve gained 40 pounds.”

In March, he clarified to E! that he was joking and stated, “Ozempic did great by me and I was glad to use it,” explaining that it helped him cut his ‘appetite in half’.
