An Ohio woman named Jackie Mitchell has revealed how she managed to earn an additional $11,000 within 100 days alongside her regular job, sharing key advice for others aspiring to do the same.
For many individuals, the monthly salary they receive is often insufficient, making it challenging to save for significant purchases, like a new home.
With property prices at an all-time high in the United States, more people are turning to side hustles to achieve their dream of homeownership.
Jackie Mitchell was one of those individuals who aspired to gather enough funds for a down payment on a new home.
She embarked on a journey with various side hustles, setting a personal challenge to earn $100 daily for 100 consecutive days.
This endeavor was in addition to her earnings from her regular 9-5 job.
After completing her daily work in the nonprofit sector, Jackie engaged in activities like surveys and focus groups to supplement her income.
Additionally, the Columbus resident also took up online video gaming as a source of extra income.
Ultimately, Jackie surpassed her $10,000 goal 11 days ahead of schedule, enabling her and her husband to move forward with purchasing a property.
Jackie’s efforts resulted in an average daily earning of $110, totaling $11,000 over three months.
She shared her journey on TikTok and detailed her methods in an interview with CNBC Make It.
“It’s just been so surprising reminding myself that little bits of money make a big difference,” she said.
“It’s kind of an encouragement to think that even if you make $5 a day, $5 is way better than $0.”

For those looking to replicate her success, Jackie offers a crucial piece of advice: break down large goals into smaller, more manageable targets.
She elaborated, “If you’ve got a goal of paying off a car loan that’s $8,000, try to calculate how much you can reasonably do in six months.
“What does that look like every month, every week, every day?”
Jackie added, “I really do believe that at least some of the information I’ve been giving can be helpful to at least one person, one single mom, one stay-at-home mom, or one college student.
“And if I can help one person earn an extra $100 a month, why would I not post that?”
