Man Allegedly Beheads Father and Shares Image Online, Reveals Disturbing Motive

A man charged with murdering and beheading his father has revealed a terrifying motive for his actions.

Justin Mohn faces charges including first-degree murder, abuse of a corpse, possession of an instrument of crime, and terrorism.

It is claimed that Mohn recorded the assault and uploaded the video to YouTube.

The footage allegedly shows Mohn holding his father’s head and inciting violence against the federal government.

Authorities assert that Mohn, 32, shot his father, a federal employee, before using a knife and machete to decapitate him.

Officials stated that the 14.5-minute video remained online for several hours before being removed for breaching community guidelines.

According to a police report, Mohn read from a script before lifting his father’s severed head to the camera.

He proceeded to label his father a ‘traitor’ and ranted about issues including ‘far-left woke mobs’, immigrants, and the LGBTQ+ community.

During a news conference, Bucks County District Attorney Jennifer Schorn remarked: “It’s quite horrifying how many views we understand it had before it was taken down.”

YouTube released a statement confirming the video’s removal and indicated efforts to prevent re-uploads of the clip.

Schorn commented: “This individual was acting with a clear mind, aware of his actions and proud of his consequences.”

She added that Mohn had a ‘clear plan’ when he attacked his 68-year-old father, Michael Mohn.

First Assistant District Attorney Edward Louka described the video, saying: “Mr. Mohn, based on his beliefs, is making a call to arms to achieve the aims he believes in. He did that through violence.”

“The violence was the murder of his father, who, obviously not a coincidence, was a federal employee. He essentially needed that murder to get his message across.”

As a segment of the video was shown in court, Mohn appeared to be smiling.

“That is a little disturbing as well, but I will let that speak for itself,” Louka stated.

Mohn’s attorney remarked: “You’ve seen the video. It was played in court today. It tells a pretty compelling story as to who he is. You watch that and I think you can learn a lot.”
