Wendy’s has unveiled its own interpretation of the beloved Spongebob Squarepants burger, yet fans have noted a significant detail that seems to be missing.
The iconic burger is central to the storyline of the show, with Spongebob, voiced by Tom Kenny, tirelessly preparing them before heading back to his pineapple abode beneath the sea. Plankton, always scheming, seeks to uncover the secret formula of the Krabby Patty to overthrow the Krusty Krab.
The “secret formula” has become an enduring joke among fans, who have shared their enthusiasm for its real-life counterpart on social media platforms.
Upon its release, many pointed out a key absence in the burger’s presentation.
The absence of sesame seeds on the bun, despite their presence in the cartoon, disappointed many. Additionally, fans felt the packaging lacked the vibrant colors they expected.
Social media was abuzz with reactions following the burger’s launch.
One individual remarked: “It’s kind of crazy to me that this is the long awaited first time Krabby Patties have ever been ‘brought into the real world’ and they couldn’t even have a sesame seed bun or some fun packaging or anything.”
