The cause of death for TikTok influencer Taylor Rousseau Grigg has been disclosed.
The 25-year-old influencer had amassed over 1.4 million followers on the platform, where she was celebrated for her honest content about her daily experiences.
On October 5, her husband, Cameron Grigg, announced her passing, describing it as ‘sudden and unexpected.’
A family insider reportedly informed PEOPLE that Taylor’s death resulted from a severe asthma attack and subsequent complications.
Earlier this week, Cameron paid homage to Taylor on Instagram, stating: “No one ever expects to have to deal with this kind of pain and heartache, especially at our age. This past year Taylor has dealt with more pain and suffering than most people do in a lifetime.”
“And in spite of that she still has been such a light and always brought joy to everyone around her.”
He continued, “She is the most brave and strong woman I know. And her confidence in the Lord outweighed every other circumstance she’s faced, even in her darkest hours. I know she’s saved my life and so many others out there.”
Cameron also mentioned that Taylor’s organs would be donated to those in need, emphasizing that she would want ‘to save people’s lives’.
“More than anything Taylor would want to know that she’s continuing to save people’s lives even after she’s gone from this world,” he said.
“And even though her earthly body may have failed her, her memory and life will be carried on forever.”
“While her earthly body is still here waiting to give the gift of life, we know her spirit is in heaven dancing in the streets made of gold with all her beauty and grace. Her endless shoe/boot collection. And her rhinestones and turquoise jewelry,” he added.
Cameron concluded with, “With this being so sudden and unexpected we don’t have anything financially in order. Taylor has been in and out of the hospital since we got married which has affected our financial situation, therefore we don’t have any insurance.”
A GoFundMe page has been initiated by a friend for those who wish to contribute.
As of this writing, nearly $52,000 has been raised through the fundraiser to assist Taylor’s family with expenses.
The GoFundMe page noted, “Her social media family was a huge blessing in her life and we cannot thank you all enough for the love and support that you have brought her.”
