Only Those with ‘Sniper Vision’ Can Spot the Hidden Snake in the Woods—It’s Trickier Than You’d Imagine

If you were near a snake in the wild, you’d probably want to be aware of its presence. However, when a snake is as effectively camouflaged as the two shown by a Reddit user, spotting it becomes quite a challenge for most of us.

Initially, you might approach an article with a headline like this and think, “How difficult can it really be?”

Yet, you may find yourself admitting defeat, as this example demonstrates that social media hosts more perceptive individuals than you might assume.

A Reddit user, known as @Prize-Technology-811, posted in the r/FindTheSniper thread last week, sharing two photos of a wooded area with two hidden snakes, supposedly taken near Wilmington, Delaware.

The caption reads: “Two of the same species on the same hike in different locations. Somewhere near Wilmington, Delaware.”

Upon examining the images, most people only notice the trees, leaves, patches of grass, and branches, with no snakes in sight.

However, if you look very closely, your instincts might kick in. Though the post labels them as ‘medium’ difficulty, finding them is quite challenging.

Fortunately, some individuals with keen eyesight and mental clarity have taken to the comments to reveal their findings on these elusive snakes.

At the time of writing, four Reddit users have been recognized with ‘snipes’ for successfully identifying the snakes’ locations, while others continue to struggle.

One user commented: “There goes by half an hour of my life.”

Another added: “All I know is that every single stick in the upper half of this photo looks like a snake to me…”

A third remarked: “Kinda worries me that I’ve spent 20 years in the army, countless nights in the field, and never found a snake.”

A fourth expressed: “I must be blind because I don’t see it even after reading the spoilers. HELP.”

For those still facing difficulties, the original poster provided guidance: “Concentrate on the right side of the first photo, midway between the top and bottom, then for the second, look for the snake’s head sticking out under the upper left clump of brown mushrooms.”

Another user elaborated: “It’s thin, tiny and black with 2 long white stripes. Look dead center of the picture then go right only halfway, just a little downwards and there it is. The head is hiding underneath the green plant between the two orange leaves Hope that helps!”

And a final remark concluded: “Lord never put me in this situation cause i would be dead.”

Fortunately, the original poster reassured: “Don’t worry, this one won’t kill you.”
