Hotel offers complimentary room, but guests hesitate upon discovering the catch

In Ibiza, there’s a hotel offering a unique experience: a free room for guests. However, before you get too excited about this opportunity, there’s a substantial caveat to consider.

Planning an Ibiza getaway on a budget can be challenging due to the typically high costs associated with this popular vacation destination.

So, when a four-star hotel offers a complimentary night’s stay, it sounds enticing. However, the catch is significant enough that some people describe it as their ‘worst nightmare’.

This notorious room, known as the ‘Zero Suite’, is situated in the lobby of the Paradiso Art Hotel. It’s described as ‘not suitable for wallflowers’ due to its transparent walls.

The Paradiso website details: “A glass-walled room in the middle of Paradiso Art Hotel lobby where you can sleep one night for free.

“Also available for artistic performances, radio broadcasts, DJ sets…the possibilities are endless as long as you like being the centre of attention.”

This setup is certainly not for those who are shy, as lobby visitors can observe you, even while you’re in bed.

One Reddit user, after watching clips of guests in the room, commented: “Better bring earplugs, I’ve seen video of people knocking on the glass to get the attention of the guest sleeping in bed.

“They think you’re a performer or something.”

Olympia Anley, a TikTok user, decided to experience the Zero Suite herself.

She captioned her video: “I’ve made a lot of friends tonight. You can stay in this hotel for free but the room has glass walls to the lobby.”

Comments quickly followed, with many expressing discomfort at the idea.

One person remarked: “This would be my worst nightmare.”

Another added: “My question is, why is this a thing?”

Another user questioned: “What’s the point like why aren’t there any walls?”

It’s important to note that the Paradiso Art Hotel has other accommodations available.

For those willing to spend, there are various rooms to choose from, including a 30m2 suite with a balcony or the ‘jewel in the crown’, a 50m2 grand suite equipped with a terrace, kitchen, and two bedrooms.

These options aren’t free but do provide privacy with solid walls…so the choice is yours!
