According to a body language expert, Donald Trump’s son, Barron, might take on a significant role in his father’s political endeavors.
In the early hours of November 6, Donald Trump, who served as the 45th President of the United States, was declared president-elect. This victory sets the stage for his return to the White House in January 2025, making him the 47th president of the United States.
Trump, 78, defeated Kamala Harris, the current US Vice President and representative of the Democratic Party, after securing a projected win in the critical state of Wisconsin, which provided him with ten votes over the required threshold.
Prior to sealing his victory in the swing state, Trump made an appearance in Florida, delivering a victory speech from the Palm Beach County Convention Centre.
Joining him on stage were his youngest son, Barron, who is 18, and Melania, 54, the Future Lady-designate of the United States.
During his victory speech at Republican HQ, Trump praised the reported 6ft 7in teenager as ‘amazing’ and expressed gratitude for Barron’s hard work during the campaign.
“This is a magnificent victory for us, which will allow us to make America great again,” Trump stated.
After Trump’s election speech, body language expert Judi James offered an analysis of Barron’s presence.
Representing Paddy Power Games, she noted that Barron, born in 2006, displayed ‘two contrasting states’ during the event.
“Barron Trump now seems to be positioned up front in the spotlight in the hierarchically visual role Ivanka took last election,” James observed.
“He towers over his father, and his signals vary between two contrasting states.”
James highlighted Barron’s on-stage posture, pointing out that his ‘fig-leaf pose’ with hands clasped in front of his torso might indicate ‘some residue of inner shyness’.
“But his desired projection looks more like his father’s alpha state, standing with legs splayed and arms held to and slightly away from his sides in a pose implying physical strength,” she elaborated.
“His trait of instigating handshakes seems to imply a more active role in the Trump political firmament.”
Trump has previously attributed Barron’s notable height to Melania’s late mother, Amalija Knavs, and her cooking skills.
The Express reported Trump’s comments during a campaign stop in Des Moines, Iowa, where he said: “That’s how he got so tall, he only ate her food.
“I said you’re gonna be a basketball player. He said, well ‘I like soccer dad’, actually. I thought… at your height, I like basketball better but you can’t talk them into everything.’”
