Elon Musk, already known as the wealthiest individual globally, has managed to add another accolade to his list of achievements.
Despite being occupied with developing self-driving robotaxis and making public appearances alongside Donald Trump, Musk has been dedicating time to playing Diablo 4, reaching the top 20 players worldwide.
In fact, it seems he has even clinched the number one position.
For those unfamiliar with gaming, Diablo IV is an action role-playing dungeon crawler developed and released by Blizzard Entertainment in 2023.
The Pit Tier 150 is described as ‘a brutal endgame activity’ within the game. Aoeah explains: “Pushing to the highest levels requires optimized builds. While every class can complete the campaign and various raids, the Pit is where the real test begins.”
“[…] If you’re not running a meta build, you’ll hit a wall, so consider these builds not just for fun but for true progression.”
It appears that Musk has conquered Tier 150, reportedly doing so in record time.
In a conversation on Joe Rogan’s show, Musk mentioned he’s among the top 20 Diablo 4 players globally. He later took to social media to imply he has actually claimed the top position by completing the 150 tier in record time.
Musk used his Twitter account to announce he finished the pit in ‘under two mins,’ sharing a video as evidence.
Would it be a Musk post without a philosophical remark? He commented: “So many life lessons to be learned from speedrunning video games on max difficulty. Teaches you to see the matrix, rather than simply exist in the matrix.”
He also included a humorous comment, “That’s what she said.”
But what does the leaderboard reflect?
At the time of writing, Musk is not at the top or even in the top 20. Instead, he ranks at position 44 on Hell Tides’ Diablo 4 Season 6 Pit Leaderboard.
Musk’s leaderboard time for tier 150 is listed as two minutes 45 seconds.
The top spot is held by a user named ‘Resistance,’ reportedly from the US, with a time of one minute 59 seconds for tier 150.
However, Resistance’s YouTube video demonstrating this achievement is dated two weeks prior.
Given that Musk’s Twitter post was made yesterday, the leaderboard may not be fully updated, potentially making him the top player globally.
