Man monitoring Bitcoin values shares eerily similar video of it hitting ‘peak price’ 11 years later

A man has earned the title of ‘legend’ after recreating a viral video from over a decade ago.

In 2013, Isaac Miller uploaded a video to YouTube celebrating Bitcoin reaching a milestone of $100, four years after the cryptocurrency’s inception.

While there is limited data on Bitcoin’s value in its initial year, by 2010 it reportedly reached $0.40 per coin.

By June 2011, Bitcoin’s value soared to nearly $30, according to BankRate, which seemed astounding at the time.

However, it soon plummeted, closing the year at $4.20.

April 2013 marked a significant breakthrough as Bitcoin exceeded $100, a milestone Isaac captured in his video.

“I’m right here, watching history be made,” he shared in the now 11-year-old footage.

“Bitcoin is now up to $111. It’s an all-time high and it’s continuing to rise.

“I’ve seen it break three times today and it went up to $110, and this is the highest that it’s been. It’s ridiculous.”

As an early Bitcoin investor, Isaac was accurate in predicting the rise, as the cryptocurrency soon peaked at $230 a few days later.

These numbers now appear minor compared to the current value of Bitcoin, which recently reached an astonishing $100,000.

To commemorate this significant milestone, Isaac recreated his viral video, adjusting the figure to $100,000 instead of $110.

Since its upload to YouTube, the original video has amassed over 5.5 million views in three years.

Isaac shared the new video on Thursday (December 5), and in the past 48 hours, Bitcoin’s price has slightly decreased.

At present, Bitcoin’s market value hovers just above $99,750.

The public’s reaction to Isaac’s updated video has been overwhelmingly positive, particularly when juxtaposed with his 2013 clip.

“From $100 to $100k. What a legend,” commented one viewer.

Another remarked, “Lmao classic, at least I was here for this one. See yall at $1,000,000!”

A third person added, “History in the making! Let’s come back here when we hit 250K, 500k and 1 million!”

Although reaching such a high figure seems challenging, some financial analysts predict that Bitcoin could potentially be valued at $1.5 million by 2030.

According to Fortune, last year Ark Invest expressed optimism about Bitcoin, describing it as ‘potentially the most compelling monetary asset since gold’.

Their 2023 report stated, “We believe Bitcoin’s long-term opportunity is strengthening.

“Despite a turbulent year, Bitcoin has not skipped a beat. Its network fundamentals have strengthened and its holder base has become more long-term focused. Contagion caused by centralized counterparties has elevated Bitcoin’s value propositions: decentralization, auditability, and transparency.

“The price of one Bitcoin could exceed $1 million in the next decade.”
