Kanye West releases heartfelt response to backlash over wife Bianca Censori’s daring Grammys ensemble

Kanye West has been effusive in his praise for his wife amidst the criticism they’ve faced regarding her bold choice of attire at the Grammy Awards.

The couple made an appearance on the red carpet with Bianca Censori accompanying West on Sunday evening (February 2), leading to her becoming one of the ‘most Googled individuals globally’.

The 30-year-old model from Australia wore a transparent dress that revealed a lot.

Many have expressed their worries for Censori, with some speculating that the rapper influenced her decision to wear such a revealing outfit.

However, those close to the pair assert that Censori is considered West’s ‘muse’ and that ‘there’s no coercion involved’.

“This is what Ye does,” an insider explained to The Sun. “He makes a statement and the whole world talks about it.”

West has now shared a heartfelt statement about Censori, expressing how ‘fortunate’ he feels to have her as his wife.

On Twitter, the ‘CARNIVAL’ artist wrote: “My wife’s first red carpet opened a whole new world. I keep staring at this photo like I was staring in admiration that night. Thinking wow I am so lucky to have a wife that is so smart talented brave and hot.

“She took a break from shooting her first film to make a movie in real life. We tailored that invisible dress 6 times. And just like magic poof, we disappeared.

“Thank you to all the outlets who recognized us and gave us back the energy we put in.”

West expressed his gratitude to American Vogue for their feature on Censori titled ‘The Naked Truth About Bianca Censori’s Grammys Look’, noting that the article portrayed her in a ‘strong positive light and also recognizes rightful strength’.

He added: “People asked how would your mother feel. You don’t know my mama b***h.”

There was speculation that Censori might face backlash for her revealing outfit, but reports indicate that no formal complaints were lodged about her choice of dress.

The Recording Academy and AEG, responsible for organizing the Grammy Awards telecast, confirmed to the New York Post that they did not receive any grievances during or after the event.

TMZ also reported that the Los Angeles Police Department received no complaints.

The California Penal Code 314 (1) defines indecent exposure as when someone exposes their body or genitals in a manner that could be deemed offensive by others.

While there was online disapproval regarding the attire, it seems no one took legal action to report it.
