Elon Musk Alters Twitter Name, Sparking Crypto Turmoil

Elon Musk, known as the world’s wealthiest individual, has demonstrated his considerable influence once again, this time impacting a particular cryptocurrency.

The tech billionaire’s actions led to a rapid increase in the Harry Bolz cryptocurrency coin’s value within hours.

How did he achieve this? By altering his Twitter profile name to Harry Bōlz.

For those who might have missed it, Harry Bōlz is a cheeky play on words, fitting Musk’s penchant for quirky jokes and puns on social media.

Following this name change, the Harry Bōlz coin debuted on the trading platform PumpFun, experiencing an astounding 17,000% increase in value in under half an hour. Reports indicate the memecoin’s market capitalization exceeded $11 million.

Interestingly, this wasn’t Musk’s first foray into such antics; he briefly adopted this handle in April 2023.

At that time, Musk confessed it was a ploy, stating: “Tbh, I’m just hoping a media org that takes itself way too seriously writes a story about Harry Bōlz …”

The motivations behind his recent name change remain unclear.

As anticipated, Twitter users have reacted with excitement, with many hoping to profit from this significant price surge.

One commented: “So I opened X this morning and saw another Musk imposter. Click on his profile, and Harry Bolz is actually Elon Musk. What a time to be alive!! You can not make this sh*t up! Happy Tuesday Everyone!”

Another remarked: “Elon Musk has changed his Profile name to ‘Harry Bōlz’.

“After changing his Profile name the price of the #HARRYBOLZ token increased by more than 475x in less than 2 hours.

A third noted: “so Elon musk just rebranded to harry bōlz and the internet is speedrunning meme history—world record pace.

With another stating: “Elon musk just changed his name on twitter to Harry Bōlz.

“This coin is about to go parabolic. YOU ARE EARLY.”

However, not everyone was amused, with one individual remarking: “Elon is a child.”

Another person added: “Can we quit pretending this has anything to do with trading? It’s just a bunch of gambling addicts throwing their money in a pot trying to outmaneuver each other.”
