Despite SpaceX’s Fram2 astronauts offering footage that clearly shows the Earth’s round shape, Flat Earthers continue to stand by their beliefs.
The launch took place on April 1 at approximately 9:46 pm when a Falcon 9 rocket, carrying a SpaceX Dragon, successfully lifted off from Launch Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
During the Fram2 mission, the SpaceX team made several passes over Earth’s North and South poles daily.
SpaceX posted on Twitter the ‘first views of Earth’s polar regions from Dragon,’ and the astronauts have since shared additional footage, including a ‘timelapse from Antarctica to the Arctic’ alongside a video ‘flying over [the] launch site,’ which not only captures the Earth’s beauty but also its undeniable roundness, leading many to jest at Flat Earthers.
Social media users have eagerly commented on the videos, pointing out to Flat Earthers—who claim Earth is flat like a plane or disk rather than a round oblate spheroid.
One user remarked: “Bad day for flat Earthers.”
Another commented, “How amazing does that look. I suppose it throws the ‘flat earth theory’ completely out the door,” while a third teased: “Splain this @FlatEarthZone,”
An additional user exclaimed, “Holy curvature!!! Amazing sharp quality SpaceX!!! Keep it up!! I love this!! Fantastic job as always! The flat earthers career is literally over! LEns tHE fISh LeNs….”
Furthermore, one person questioned: “Where are the flat earthers? Are they like really mad right now? This footage is really beautiful.”
However, Flat Earthers remain defiant, with some taking to the comments to dispute the video’s validity as proof against their theory.
One commented: “Looks so deep fake.”
Another argued, “In shambles my a**!! Complete the circle, are we in another ice age lmao, why is half the Earth covered in ice. Stop using curved lenses!!”
A third claimed: “It’s too easy to edit this sort of footage,” while a fourth said: “We’ve seen CGI before. Not impressed.”
Following the successful conclusion of SpaceX’s Fram2 mission, the company stated on Twitter: “All four framonauts have safely exited Dragon unassisted.”
In response to Flat Earthers’ remarks about the Fram2 footage, one user suggested: “When will SpaceX have special missions to fly flat earthers to space to finally shut them up?”
So, what do you say, Elon?
