Mickey Rourke Departs Celebrity Big Brother Amidst ‘Inappropriate Language’ Incident and Bella Thorne Allegations

Mickey Rourke’s participation in Celebrity Big Brother UK has ended abruptly.

Rourke joined the Big Brother house on April 7, making a controversial entrance due to his conduct towards presenter AJ Odudu.

As Odudu engaged in conversation with him prior to his entry into the house, Rourke’s behavior raised eyebrows when he ogled her, prompting Odudu to ask him to stop staring.

Viewers of Celebrity Big Brother deemed his conduct ‘unacceptable,’ but the controversies didn’t stop there.

Once inside the house, Rourke quickly found himself receiving a formal warning from producers after he directed a homophobic slur at fellow contestant JoJo Siwa.

Despite the warning, the Sin City actor’s stay on the show was cut short following a disagreement with Love Island’s Chris Hughes, leading producers to request Rourke’s departure.

“Mickey Rourke has agreed to leave the Celebrity Big Brother House this evening following a discussion with Big Brother regarding further use of inappropriate language and instances of unacceptable behavior,” a spokesperson for Celebrity Big Brother stated.

The spokesperson clarified that no physical confrontation occurred between Hughes and Rourke, but the actor’s remarks were perceived as ‘threatening and aggressive.’

As tensions unfolded in the house, Bella Thorne, who collaborated with Rourke on the 2020 film “Girl,” commented on his behavior toward Siwa and shared her own allegations.

In social media posts, Thorne described Rourke as ‘gross’ and recounted her experience working with him.

“I had to work with this man – In a scene where I’m on my knees with my hands zip-tied around my back,” the 27-year-old alleged.

“He’s supposed to take a metal grinder to my kneecap, and instead he used it on my genitals thru my jeans. Hitting them over and over again.”

The alleged incident reportedly left Thorne with ‘bruises on [her] pelvic bone.’ She referred to working with Rourke as ‘one of the all-time worst experiences of my life working as an actress.’

Representatives for Rourke have responded to Thorne’s allegations, asserting that he ‘adamantly denies any intentional misconduct.’

“He was not made aware of any such concerns during filming and had no prior knowledge of Ms. Thorne’s discomfort until now,” his representative stated.
