Amy Schumer humorously addresses the effects of weight loss medication in new video

Amy Schumer has brought her fans to tears of laughter with a humorous update on her weight loss journey.

Schumer has been notably transparent about her use of weight loss medications and the side effects they have caused her.

Previously, the I Feel Pretty actress recounted her experience with Ozempic, a medication that left her feeling ‘bedridden’.

While she managed to shed 30 pounds, the adverse effects made her question the value of it all. Schumer felt so unwell that she was unable to engage in activities with her young son.

In a conversation with Howard Stern on his radio show in January, she revealed: “So, I tried Ozempic almost three years ago and I was like, bedridden. I was like, vomiting — and then you have no energy. But other people take it and they’re all good. God bless them.”

She mentioned having a genetic predisposition to nausea, which exacerbated her experience.

Schumer elaborated: “I tried it and I was vomiting and I’m in bed and my son’s like, ‘Can you play tag?’ I’m like, ‘I can’t.’ I was shriveling.”

Currently, the comedian has switched to Mounjaro, another diabetes medication used for weight loss.

Much like her openness with Ozempic, Schumer has been candid about her experience with Mounjaro and recently posted a funny video on her Instagram.

“Hey, Amy here,” she began in her video. “I just wanted to say, again, I’m loving being on Mounjaro… am I saying that right? Mounjaro?”

She continued: “I haven’t found it’s affected anything, my meals are still very satisfying, and they give me a lot of energy.”

While saying this, the Kinda Pregnant star took a bite from a tiny bowl of food. After just one mouthful, she jokingly declared herself ‘full’ and began to laugh.

The playful video has amused her Instagram audience, with some labeling it as ‘hilarious’.

Besides her weight loss journey, Schumer is open about various aspects of her personal life, including her marriage with Chris Fischer.

In February, she and Fischer celebrated their seventh anniversary, humorously revealing that they commemorated it with sex, a tradition they jest they follow for birthdays as well.
