Amanda Bynes has announced her recent decision to join OnlyFans, detailing her plans for her presence on the platform.
The 39-year-old actress has experienced significant life changes over the past few years, notably concluding a conservatorship with her mother in March 2022.
Bynes, known for her role in She’s The Man, was placed under conservatorship in 2013 due to ongoing mental health struggles.
Despite facing challenges, Bynes has successfully restarted her career and has now ventured into a new enterprise.
On Tuesday, April 15, Bynes shared her decision to join OnlyFans, clarifying that she won’t be using it for explicit content, a departure from how many creators utilize the platform.
Bynes explained the purpose of her new account on social media.
“I’m doing OnlyFans to chat with my fans through dm’s. I won’t be posting any sleazy content. Excited to join,” she stated via her Instagram Story.
Her OnlyFans subscription is priced at $50 per month, following in the trend of celebrities such as Cardi B and Tyler Posey who have also joined the platform.
The platform has been highly profitable for many celebrities. Reports indicate Cardi B earns $46.7 million (£37.1 million) annually, which breaks down to $1.87 million (£1.4 million) per month.
Amanda Bynes’s conservatorship concluded in 2022, with Judge Roger L. Lund stating: “The Capacity Declaration filed 02/22/22 concludes that conservatee has capacity [to] give informed consent to any form of medical treatment.
“The court determines that the conservatorship is no longer required and that grounds for establishment of a conservatorship of the person no longer exist.
“The court intends to grant the petition for termination and order the conservatorship of the person of Amanda Bynes be terminated.”
Bynes expressed gratitude towards her supporters, thanking them for their ‘love and well wishes’ over the nine-year conservatorship period.
In a statement to People, she commented: “Following today’s decision by the judge to terminate my conservatorship, I would like to thank my fans for their love and well wishes during this time.
“I would also like to thank my lawyer and my parents for their support over the last nine years.”
Bynes has also hinted at future projects, saying: “In the last several years, I have been working hard to improve my health so that I can live and work independently, and I will continue to prioritize my well-being in this next chapter.
“I am excited about my upcoming endeavors — including my fragrance line — and look forward to sharing more when I can.”
