Ryan Reynolds responds awkwardly to inquiries about Travis Kelce ‘unfollowing’ him on social media

Ryan Reynolds recently addressed the curious question of why Travis Kelce, who was believed to be a close friend, seemingly ‘unfollowed him’ on social media.

The NFL player, who is dating Taylor Swift, is said to have removed Reynolds from his Instagram following list, sparking discussions about a potential disagreement.

Reynolds and his wife Blake Lively have long-standing ties with Swift and have been spotted enjoying double dates with Swift and Kelce, who began their relationship in 2023.

As reported by Page Six, Kelce might be seeking to avoid involvement in the legal dispute between Lively and her co-star Justin Baldoni, which arose during the filming of the 2024 movie “It Ends With Us.”

Lively has accused Baldoni of sexual harassment on set, resulting in a significant lawsuit filed last December, though Baldoni has denied these claims.

Baldoni has reportedly threatened to involve Swift in the legal proceedings by calling her to testify.

During a Hollywood Walk of Fame event honoring Green Day, Reynolds was approached by reporters eager to discuss the rumored fallout with Kelce.

While signing autographs, journalist Melanie Miller inquired: “What happened with Travis Kelce? Are you guys good? Are you guys friends? How come he unfollowed you?”

Reynolds chose to remain silent on the matter, focusing on interacting with fans and refraining from commenting before rejoining the ceremony.

Page Six suggests that the possibility of Swift being dragged into the legal controversy has strained her friendship with Lively, who starred in “Gossip Girl.”

However, it seems the friends have reconciled and are ready to ‘move forward.’

Regarding the Lively vs. Baldoni case, Lively initially filed a civil complaint with the California Civil Rights Department on December 20, which she later escalated to federal court on December 31.

Baldoni responded with a $400 million defamation lawsuit against Lively and her husband, leading to ongoing legal disputes between the two parties.

In a recent talk show appearance, Lively briefly addressed the situation, telling Seth Meyers that it’s been a ‘pretty intense year’ for her.

“Yeah, I mean, what I can say without going too much into it is that this year has been full of the highest highs and the lowest lows of my life,” she said.

“And I see so many women around, afraid to speak — especially right now — afraid to share their experiences. And fear is by design.

“It’s what keeps us silent. But I also acknowledge that many people don’t have the opportunity to speak. So I do feel fortunate that I’ve been able to.

“It’s the women who have had the ability to use their voice that’s kept me strong and helped me in my belief and my fight for the world to be safer for women and girls.”

Lively’s remarks came as her latest film, “Another Simple Favor,” was released on Prime Video on Thursday (May 1), with the court date for the lawsuit scheduled for March next year.
