Numerous images captured by authorities on the evening of Diddy’s arrest from a hotel room offer troubling insight into his infamous ‘freak offs’.
The legal proceedings for Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs began on May 12, following his arrest in New York last September. He faced allegations of racketeering, transportation to engage in prostitution, and sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion.
The 55-year-old artist has refuted all accusations and maintains his innocence.
During the first week, the court heard poignant testimony from his former long-term girlfriend, Cassandra ‘Cassie’ Ventura. She recounted experiencing physical violence throughout their decade-long relationship and being coerced into participating in ‘freak offs’, which included engaging in sexual acts with male escorts while Combs observed.
Ventura also recounted Combs’ alleged substance abuse, citing his consumption of ketamine, ecstasy, MDMA, and other opiates, claiming he used them on a ‘daily’ basis.
Recently released photographs from the night of Combs’ arrest, taken from his suite at the Park Hyatt Hotel in Midtown Manhattan, have been presented to jurors and made public. The prosecution argues that these images depict Combs preparing for a final drug-fueled ‘freak off.’
Here is a summary of the evidence found in the room.
During Friday’s trial (May 16), Homeland Security presented images of their findings, which included lubricant.
Yasmin Binda, a special agent with Homeland Security Investigations’ human trafficking division, testified about discovering a ‘zip log bag filled with Astroglide [lubricant]’ in the ‘hallway closet.’
Two additional bottles of lube were found on the bedroom nightstand.
Authorities also documented and collected several bottles of Johnson’s baby oil.
Cassie testified about Combs’ specific setup for ‘freak off’ rooms, which reportedly included scented candles mixed with ‘oil and all of the other scents’.
She claimed Combs would instruct her to warm up the baby oil.
Binda informed the court that ‘several bottles of baby oil’ were discovered in the bathroom, filling ‘one zip lock bag.’
According to Binda, officers also discovered a ‘lighting device’ intended to create ‘mood lighting,’ along with a hard drive, iPhone, and a Louis Vuitton bag.
Authorities found a bottle of Clonazepam medication prescribed to a ‘Frank Black.’
The Mayo Clinic indicates that this medication from Walgreens is used ‘alone or together with other medicines to treat certain seizure disorders.’
Clonazepam is also employed to manage panic disorders and acts in the brain to ‘prevent seizures.’
Jurors viewed a photo of two small bags with pink powder, found within a medication bottle, as described by Binda.
Tests revealed one bag contained ketamine, while the other held a mixture of MDMA and ketamine.
The United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) describes ketamine as a ‘dissociative anesthetic with some hallucinogenic effects.’
This drug ‘distorts the perception of sight and sound, making users feel disconnected and not in control,’ according to the DEA, which adds that it can cause patients to ‘feel detached from their pain and environment.’
On the other hand, MDMA is classified as both a ‘stimulant and hallucinogen,’ providing users with an ‘energizing effect, distortions in time and perception, and enhanced enjoyment of tactile experiences,’ as stated by the DEA.
Commonly known as the ‘party drug,’ it can induce feelings of euphoria, closeness, empathy, and sexuality, available in pill or powder form.
Binda also testified that Homeland Security found a black fanny pack hanging from a bed.
Reportedly, it contained $9,000 in cash.
The trial is ongoing.
