50 Cent promises action after Trump’s unexpected reply about pardoning Diddy in sex trafficking case

50 Cent has expressed his intention to take action following Donald Trump’s comments regarding the possibility of pardoning Diddy, should he be convicted in his ongoing sex trafficking trial.

Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, is facing charges of racketeering and sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, stemming from his 2024 trial. Since his arrest at the Park Hyatt hotel in Manhattan, New York last September, Combs has consistently proclaimed his innocence and denied all allegations.

The trial, which began a few weeks ago, has seen numerous witnesses testify, including his former girlfriend Casandra ‘Cassie’ Ventura, who accused Combs of physical abuse during their relationship.

During a press conference at the White House on Friday (May 30), Trump was questioned about the trial and whether he would consider pardoning Combs.

Trump did not dismiss the possibility outright, stating: “Nobody’s asked. But I know people are thinking about it. I know they’re thinking about it. I think some people have been very close to asking.

“First of all, I’d look at what’s happening, and I haven’t been watching it too closely, although it’s certainly getting a lot of coverage.

“I haven’t seen him. I haven’t spoken to him in years.”

In response to Trump’s remarks, 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis James Jackson III, shared his thoughts on Instagram on Friday.

The rapper, known for his longstanding feud with Diddy in the hip-hop scene, wrote: “He said some really bad things about Trump, it’s not ok. I’m gonna reach out so he knows how I feel about this guy.

“Donald doesn’t take well to disrespect, and doesn’t forget who chooses to go against him.

“While working tirelessly to make America great again, there is no room for distraction. He would consider pardoning anyone who was being mistreated, not Puffy Daddy.”

A White House reporter pointed out that in 2012, Trump had called Combs a ‘good friend’ on The Celebrity Apprentice, but their relationship changed after Trump entered politics.

The 47th President commented: “He used to really like me a lot, but I think when I ran for politics, sort of, that relationship busted up from what I read…you become a much different person when you run for politics and you do what’s right…our country’s doing really well because of what we’re doing.

“I could do other things and I am sure he would like me to and I’m sure other people would like me to but it wouldn’t be as good for the country.

“Our country is doing really well because of what we are doing, so it is not a popularity contest, I would certainly look into the facts.”
