Yellowstone creator’s ’10/10′ Prime Video thriller, watched for 33 million hours, is coming to Netflix

A highly acclaimed film from Taylor Sheridan, the creator of Yellowstone, is set to arrive on Netflix this August.

Sheridan is renowned for his intense dramas, with Yellowstone being regarded as one of the top TV series ever.

This 2018 film, described by fans as ‘hauntingly beautiful’, is currently available on Prime Video but will soon be removed before its release on Netflix.

The movie features a standout performance by Jeremy Renner, whose series, Mayor of Kingstown on Paramount+, is confirmed to return for its fourth season on October 26.

In this neo-Western crime thriller, Renner portrays Cory Lambert, a tracker for the US Fish and Wildlife Service with deep connections to the Wind River Indian Reservation in Wyoming. Elizabeth Olsen plays Jane Banner, a novice FBI agent.

Together, they work to unravel a murder mystery: the frozen body of 18-year-old Natalie Hanson is discovered, leading them into a dark and violent investigation.

As the investigation progresses, the duo exposes unsettling truths about the violence against Native women and the systemic neglect of many such cases. The film, titled Wind River, is the third in Sheridan’s exploration of contemporary American frontier life, following Sicario and Hell or High Water.

Sheridan seems to have a penchant for spin-offs, with several Yellowstone prequels already released and more in development.

Wind River has achieved a 90 percent audience score on Rotten Tomatoes from over 25,000 reviews.

Critics have given it an 87 percent rating from 251 reviews, commending its ‘smart writing, strong cast, and a skillfully rendered setting that delivers the bitter chill promised by its title.’

Fans agree, with one calling it ’10/10′ and suggesting it deserves an Oscar.

Another viewer described it as “Suspenseful, gripping, and beautifully done,” while another said, “I was so taken aback by the quality of this movie. When you think about movies transporting you in space and time, I can’t think of one that does it better than Wind River.”

One social media user praised it as a “Hauntingly beautiful film. Tells a story that needs to be told. Tough but important.”

According to FlixPatrol, the film has accumulated an impressive 33.4 million hours viewed.

Currently, the movie can be streamed on Amazon Prime Video in the UK but will leave the platform on Saturday, August 30.

Starting August 28, it will be available on Netflix in the UK. JustWatch reports that in the US, the movie can be streamed for free on Plex.
