As anticipation builds for the trial involving Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, another star of “It Ends With Us” has taken legal action against the director.
This development arises as Lively and Baldoni are scheduled for a court appearance in March 2026. Lively has accused Baldoni of sexual harassment, prompting him to file a $400 million lawsuit against her and her husband, Ryan Reynolds.
In June, a federal judge dismissed Baldoni’s defamation and extortion claims against Lively. Now, another setback has emerged for Baldoni as Isabela Ferrer, who portrayed a young version of Lively’s character in “It Ends With Us,” has alleged improper behavior by Baldoni after being subpoenaed in relation to the ongoing legal battle.
Ferrer was subpoenaed by Lively’s legal team and subsequently approached Baldoni’s Wayfarer Studios to request coverage for her legal expenses, as stipulated in her movie contract.
However, according to Ferrer’s legal team, she received a response demanding she ‘relinquish control of her response to the Lively subpoena to Wayfarer’ prior to receiving any compensation.
The lawsuit, referenced by E! News, states: “From that point forward, Baldoni has tried to manipulate, threaten, control and otherwise act inappropriately towards Ms. Ferrer.”
The suit further alleges that Baldoni filed a motion against Ferrer to ‘harass’ her following her refusal of his legal team’s request, describing it as ‘yet another attempt to manipulate the press, to create havoc on a young, up-and-coming and talented actress and to violate this Court’s policies on the publishing of non-party personally identifying information’.
Ferrer’s filing claims she has received ‘personal threats and hateful statements’ from social media users as a result of Baldoni’s motion, stating: “Ms. Ferrer has already had to resist Baldoni’s inappropriate conduct in connection with her response to the Lively Subpoena.”
“Unfortunately, the Motion is just the latest in a broader pattern of conduct by Baldoni to bully Ms. Ferrer,” the document adds. “While Ms. Ferrer will faithfully comply with her legal obligations under any subpoena, summons or court order, she obviously will not be intimidated or extorted by any party to otherwise participate in the proceedings.”
Representatives for Baldoni have been contacted for comment.
