Recently, the actress discussed her future family plans and her thoughts on adoption.
Millie Bobby Brown, known for her role in Stranger Things, has been in the public eye from a young age. At 21, she has already been thinking about starting a family.
Fans were taken by surprise when she announced the arrival of her first child with husband Jake Bongiovi through an Instagram post. Many congratulated the actress on the exciting news.
In her post dated August 21, she shared some details about the new addition to their family, though she chose not to reveal the child’s name, and emphasized the importance of privacy during this time.
She wrote: “This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy.
“And then there were 3. Love, Millie and Jake.”
While the announcement came as a surprise to some, others were already aware of Brown’s interest in adoption from her previous comments earlier this year in March.
During an appearance on the SmartLess podcast with hosts Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett, Brown shared her vision for family life and the dynamics she hopes to create.
She said: “It has been my thing since before I met Jake.
“Since I was a baby, I told my mum I want to be a mom just like the way my mom was to me and my nan.
“My grandmother is like a huge part of my life and Jake knows how important it is to me and of course I want to focus on really establishing myself as an actor and as a producer but I also find its so important to start a family, for me personally.
“Jake was like we cannot do that until we get married so that was his thing and my thing was I really want a family, I really want a big family like I’m one of four as he’s one of four.
“So it is definitely in our future.”
Just a few months later, those dreams have become a reality.
Brown further expressed her views on adoption, stating that she doesn’t see a difference between adopting and having biological children.
She continued: “For me, I don’t see having your own child as really any different than adopting.
“Because for me, my home is full of love for anyone and anything and that is what we stand by, Jake and I, the door is always open and we want everyone to feel really comfortable.”
