An old Howard Stern interview with Sofia Vergara has resurfaced, sparking criticism due to the inappropriate remarks made by the host towards the actress.
The video, which has been shared on Reddit, features Stern making comments about Vergara’s chest and awkwardly trying to speak Spanish during his show.
“I was trying to tell her I have a big penis but I think I said I have a big burrito,” Stern is heard saying.
When breast reduction was being discussed, Stern inquired about Vergara’s age when she began to develop and then asked for her bra size.
“You’ve taken off your coat. You do have a big chest, and I’m going to tell you something – don’t touch it. I like it,” he remarked.
Vergara, who was 31 at the time, appeared uneasy with the comments and simply replied, “Thank you very much.”
Stern, who was 49 then, went on to say, “Believe me, there is no greater man on this planet than me, and if I tell you your chest is attractive, you keep it.”
“Your mother gave you the best advice, don’t touch those boobs, alright?”
The interview only got more uncomfortable, as Stern asked Vergara if she had chosen to breastfeed her son.
“Did you breastfeed your son?” he inquired.
“Oh that must have been unbelievable.”
Vergara responded to Stern, saying: “That wasn’t unbelievable, I was like 19.”
However, Stern pressed on with, “You must have had so much milk right? How much milk? You imagine how much milk was going on?”
Vergara clearly felt uncomfortable, eventually commenting, “No respect here.”
Stern replied, “Oh come on, I’m respecting you all over the place.”
“That kid must have been fat from eating all that milk. I would love to feed from you.
“If you don’t want to go out with me, at least let me feed from your chest.”
Vergara noted she wasn’t pregnant, to which Stern responded, “Oh, that can be arranged.”
The remarks left many viewers disturbed, with one person commenting on Reddit, “What the actual f**k… And she even told him he was being disrespectful and he just brushed her off and made another gross joke.”
Another added, “I’ve seen too many interviews where people disrespect Sofia, it’s horrible and she always handles it gracefully.”
A third user noted, “I really didn’t think it could get any worse after the first thing he said, but man was I wrong.”
