Ghislaine Maxwell, who was convicted for her involvement with Jeffrey Epstein, made a significant statement about her belief regarding Epstein’s death in 2019.
In 2022, Maxwell received a 20-year prison sentence due to her participation in a scheme with Epstein to sexually exploit and abuse underage girls over the span of ten years.
Previously, in December 2021, the former British socialite was found guilty on multiple charges including conspiracy to entice minors to engage in illegal sex acts, conspiracy to transport minors for illegal sex acts, transporting a minor for illegal sex acts, sex trafficking conspiracy, and sex trafficking of a minor.
Currently held at the Federal Prison Camp Bryan in Bryan, Texas, Maxwell recently conversed with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche regarding Epstein and his connections, notably including US President Donald Trump.
The Justice Department has made public the conversation transcripts, which extend over 300 pages.
In the interview with Blanche, Maxwell discussed her thoughts on Epstein’s alleged suicide on August 10, 2019.
Despite a new memo revealing that the DOJ and FBI could not uncover evidence of murder, some remain skeptical about Epstein’s death by suicide at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York City.
Maxwell expressed her opinion to Blanche, stating, “I do not believe he died by suicide, no.”
She added that she had no idea who might have killed him or whether it was intended to ‘keep him quiet.’
“I do not have any reason to believe that,” she remarked. “And I also think it’s ludicrous, because if that…I also happen to think if that is what they wanted, they would’ve had plenty of opportunity when he wasn’t in jail.
“And if they were worried about blackmail or anything from him, he would’ve been a very easy target.”
Maxwell also addressed rumors about Trump’s connection to Epstein, asserting she never witnessed inappropriate behavior by the former president.
Praising the 79-year-old, she said: “I admire his extraordinary achievement in becoming the President now.”
She recounted meeting Trump in 1990, stating her father, British publishing mogul Robert Maxwell, was ‘friendly with him and liked him very much,’ also noting his fondness for Trump’s ex-wife, Ivana Trump, as reported by CBS News.
Maxwell claimed Trump and Epstein ‘seemed friendly’ but noted she only saw them in social contexts, not private settings.
Her insights on Trump come shortly after the US President urged his supporters to disregard Epstein-related controversies.
Reacting against critics following the release of redacted ‘Epstein files’ and US Attorney General Pam Bondi’s declaration of no ‘client list,’ Trump addressed his followers: “[Speaking of Democrats] Also, unlike Republicans, they stick together like glue.”
“Their new SCAM is what we will forever call the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax, and my PAST supporters have bought into this ‘bulls**t’ hook, line, and sinker.”
“They haven’t learned their lesson, and probably never will, even after being conned by the Lunatic Left for 8 long years,” he stated on Truth Social.
“I have had more success in 6 months than perhaps any President in our Country’s history, and all these people want to talk about, with strong prodding by the Fake News and the success starved Dems, is the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax.”
“Let these weaklings continue forward and do the Democrats work, don’t even think about talking of our incredible and unprecedented success, because I don’t want their support anymore!”
“Thank you for your attention to this matter. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
