Disney+ viewers have a limited time to watch popular MGK and Megan Fox film

Disney+ is set to remove a ‘brave’ Machine Gun Kelly film this September, giving viewers only a short time to revisit it.

Colson Baker, widely known by his stage name Machine Gun Kelly, is a multifaceted artist.

Rapper, singer, and actor – and perhaps even an alien hybrid? – he has undeniably been a prominent figure in the entertainment industry in recent years.

He had a notably tumultuous five-year relationship with actress Megan Fox, who also appears in the film, playing the role of MGK’s character’s ex-partner.

In real life, they have a child named Saga Blade, but their romantic relationship concluded permanently in March.

Their film, too, will soon leave Disney+ as the streaming platform plans to remove it this September, likely due to expiring licensing agreements.

The film features MGK as Cole, a self-destructive rapper grappling with the pressures of the music industry, toxic relationships, and addiction.

Amid his peak fame, Cole turns to drugs and chaotic behavior, while his assistant Ilana (played by Maddie Hasson) tries to guide him towards stability.

The film delves into the dark aspects of celebrity culture, showing how fame, wealth, and intense pressure can turn a dream into a nightmare.

Fox portrays Mae, Cole’s estranged ex-wife and the mother of their child, concerned for their daughter due to his unpredictable behavior.

The movie is titled Taurus, named after the main character Cole Taurus.

MGK usually feels uncomfortable watching his own film performances, but he made an exception for this film.

“I don’t know if it was the hair, like the long hair or whatever, but I was able to watch it not cringing at my own image,” he mentioned to the Independent. “I like that guy on the inside.”

The film garnered an average score of 64 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, with critics mentioning it ‘fails to delve deeply into the creative process,’ yet commending its ‘engaging insight into the double-edged nature of celebrity.’

However, fans were more favorable; with over 100 reviews, they rated it a commendable 88 percent.

“This movie explores deep waters. I appreciated the brave performances and artistic direction,” commented one viewer on social media.

Another described it as an ’emotional ride,’ while a third praised MGK’s performance, calling it ‘raw and authentic.’

Some fans felt the film fell short in exploring why Cole chose to remain famous and wanted a more ‘fleshed out’ script.

Nonetheless, they found it worth watching, particularly for MGK’s portrayal.

Taurus is available for streaming on Disney+ until it leaves the platform on September 2.
