Ne-Yo explains the dynamics of his relationship with four girlfriends and addresses challenges

Ne-Yo has been more forthcoming about his personal relationships during a livestream, as fans inundate him with questions.

Last year, the renowned singer and songwriter Ne-Yo stirred up some buzz by revealing that he was involved with four women simultaneously. While non-monogamous relationships are not unheard of, they are relatively rare, particularly in the United States.

Despite this, Ne-Yo has been open about his lifestyle and has shed light on his relationships with Cristina, Arielle, Moneii, and Bri. In a previous appearance on The Angie Martinez Show, he delved into the dynamics of his relationships, stating that his partners have chosen not to date anyone else.

He explained, “When I got with these women, I did not ask for their exclusivity. I did not demand their exclusivity. They asked for it. They came to me and said, ‘I want to be exclusive to you and just you.’”

Continuing, he added, “You understand that your exclusivity to me does not mean my exclusivity to you. You understand this?’ ‘Yes.’ ‘You’re okay with this?’ ‘Yes.’ Okay cool, since you are offering your exclusivity and I’m taking it, now there’s rules that I need you to follow.”

Recently, Ne-Yo shared more insights into his relationships during a stream with Kai Cenat. The 45-year-old expressed that he prioritizes what is best for himself, his children, and his circle.

When questioned by Kai about potential complications, Ne-Yo acknowledged, “Well yeah, there are complications when there is just two people in a relationship so of course there is going to be when you are with four.”

He was also asked whether he gets frustrated with the group of women if one of them irritates him. He emphasized that he tries to manage his emotions and reactions carefully.

He likened it to dealing with a friendship group, where if one person annoys you, the reaction might differ compared to with another member.

Ne-Yo also shared what he appreciates about each of the women. He described one as being the serious and reliable one, another as someone who brings humor into his life, a third as his “rider” who is fiercely loyal, and the last as the artistic and eclectic one.

He concluded, “So everyone has their own thing and it works, it works perfectly.”
