Travis Kelce’s friend criticized for ‘a**hole’ remark over claims Taylor Swift ‘controlled guest list’

Andrew Santino might have just lost his chance to attend his friend Travis Kelce’s wedding after suggesting that Taylor Swift is ‘controlling’ the guest list.

Last month, the pop superstar announced her engagement to the Kansas City Chiefs tight end on Instagram, a post that has since garnered over 37 million likes and sparked speculation about an unforgettable wedding.

Despite the announcement being just three weeks old, many celebrities are likely angling for an invitation to the monumental event. However, comedian Santino seems to have taken a different route, confidently claiming he won’t be invited.

During an appearance on Barstool’s Pardon My Take podcast, host Dan ‘Big Cat’ Katz didn’t waste any time before bringing up the topic of Swift and Kelce’s engagement.

“You know, we have the most important question we have to ask,” Katz stated.

Santino replied, “I doubt it.”

He elaborated further: “I highly doubt it, dude. I don’t think I got that invite. You know, she’s controlling that guest list for sure I’m not on that list dude. Oh, dude, I’m not on that. Oh dude, Trav’s my boy, I love him to death – I highly doubt… look, I will say this. I played golf with my old man two days ago and we FaceTimed him to say congrats. You know, look maybe, I maybe I’ll catch a bachelor party invite? Maybe!”

The conversation then shifted to whether it’s acceptable to attend a bachelor party but not the wedding itself, with Santino arguing it’s perfectly fine.

“You could do bachelor and not the wedding. In fact, in fact…preferred if I’m being honest – I’d rather do bachelor and no wedding. I don’t want to do the weddings. I don’t want to do weddings in general anymore. So, if you can give me the bachelor party without the wedding; [clicks and does perfect sign with his hand] the money.”

While some might admire his candidness, recognizing that he’s probably not very close to the couple, others on Twitter (X) have taken offense.

One person remarked, “Kind of an a**hole diss at Taylor…she’s not controlling anything Trav has a mind of his own and she loves that he has great longtime loyal friends…they will do the list together for sure.”

Another commented, “That wedding if we are to use our logical thinking will just be the closest of the closest if friends and family. Acquaintances I doubt it! That wedding will be limited to people who really matters. And people should get that.”

A third user added, “If your out there critisizing the partner of your “friend”, you expecta n invite?? the f*** with that.”
