A$AP Rocky has hinted at a significant development in his relationship with Rihanna, the mother of his three children.
The famous couple is believed to have begun their romantic involvement in 2019, though it wasn’t publicly acknowledged until the following year. They have recently welcomed their third child, a daughter named Rocki Irish Mayers.
This latest addition marks the couple’s first daughter. A$AP Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, and Rihanna are also parents to sons RZA, three, and Riot Rose, two.
It’s thought that their daughter’s name, Rocki, is a nod to A$AP’s stage persona. The middle name, ‘Irish,’ is likely a tribute to Rihanna’s late father, Ronald Fenty, who passed away earlier this year.
Rihanna’s father was of African, Irish, English, and Scottish ancestry.
Despite their high-profile careers and appearances at prominent events like the Met Gala, the couple generally keeps the details of their relationship and family life under wraps.
However, A$AP recently shared insights into his life with Rihanna and their children, even hinting at the possibility of marriage.
In a conversation with ELLE, the 36-year-old was questioned about the prospect of marrying Rihanna, given he has previously referred to her as his ‘wife.’ A$AP playfully responded, “How you know I’m not already a husband?”
Quashing any immediate hopes for an engagement or marriage announcement, the ‘Sundress’ rapper stated he was ‘still not gonna confirm it’.
During his interview, A$AP also described the nature of their relationship away from the public eye.
“We don’t talk too much about work, because we deal with that all day, every day,” he said. “When you come home, it’s about family. It’s about your relationship. It’s about your household. It ain’t about all that other sh*t.”
He also shared that they were hoping their third child would be a girl.
“We’re praying for a girl,” the father of three expressed. “[…]I feel like it’s going to be a girl. This pregnancy is so different from the other two. You can tell from the experience. I hope it’s a baby girl, man. I need that.”
Their prayers were answered when Rocki was born on September 13. They waited until September 24 to announce her arrival on social media.
Rihanna posted a picture of herself holding the newborn, captioning it: “Rocki Irish Mayers Sept 13 2025.”
A$AP fondly commented on the post: “MY LIL LADIES.”
