Diddy Appeals to Judge in Disturbing Letter Regarding CCTV Footage of Attack on Cassie

Diddy has made a disturbing confession regarding his former partner, Cassie Ventura, in a letter submitted to the judge before his sentencing.

Renowned for his work with major artists such as Usher, Mary J. Blige, and the Notorious B.I.G., Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has been in the news for troubling reasons following his arrest in September 2024.

The ex-rapper was arrested last September on charges including sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, racketeering, and transportation for prostitution purposes.

He was also accused of organizing chaotic, drug-laden gatherings – dubbed ‘freak offs’ – where women were reportedly coerced into sexual acts, sometimes filmed without consent, with Diddy and others allegedly observing.

Following a two-month trial earlier this year, he was cleared of the most serious charges but convicted on two counts related to transportation for engaging in prostitution.

He now faces a potential prison sentence of up to 20 years.

Today (Friday, October 3), Judge Arun Subramanian will deliver Diddy’s sentence.

Just a day before the sentencing, Diddy submitted a letter to the judge, pleading for mercy.

In the letter, he confessed to losing his sanity during his time in jail.

Diddy expressed that merely saying ‘I’m sorry’ would never suffice, acknowledging that words ‘cannot erase the pain from the past’.

Reflecting on his 13 months in custody, he recounts how ‘the scene and images of me assaulting Cassie play over and over in my head daily,’ further admitting: “I literally lost my mind.”

The music icon refers to CCTV footage from 2016 that shows him physically attacking his former partner, Ventura. This alarming footage, filmed in a hotel, gained notoriety when it surfaced online in May.

The footage captures Ventura approaching elevators, with Combs chasing her, dressed only in a towel around his waist.

The video shows Combs grabbing Ventura by the neck, throwing her to the ground, kicking her twice, and dragging her by her sweatshirt toward a hotel room.

Combs is then seen leaving but returning to hurl an object at Ventura before departing once more.

The couple had a tumultuous relationship spanning 11 years. Ventura, 18 years his junior, began dating Diddy when she was 19, and he was 37.

On November 16, Ventura filed a lawsuit in Federal District Court in Manhattan, alleging that Combs ‘frequently beat’ her during their relationship.

Ventura’s lawsuit described Combs as a ‘serial domestic abuser, who would regularly beat and kick Ms Ventura, leaving black eyes, bruises, and blood’.

The following day, Combs and Ventura announced a settlement, stating they had resolved the claims to their ‘mutual satisfaction’.

Combs ‘vehemently denied’ the accusations, with his lawyer asserting that the lawsuit was filled with unfounded and outrageous allegations intended to damage Combs’ reputation and secure financial gain.
