Taylor Swift shares the fan theory she considers ‘shockingly offensive’

Taylor Swift has disclosed that there is one particular fan theory that bothers her the most.

The 35-year-old singer-songwriter has become the focal point of numerous bizarre conspiracy theories.

Last year, a Fox News host, Jesse Watters, alleged that Swift was an undercover government psy-op, following accusations from critics who labeled her a ‘girlboss psyop’ that ‘aided’ her in securing the Person of the Year title in 2023.

Recently, the ‘Karma’ singer has faced claims of being the antichrist. Some have suggested that her relationship with NFL player Travis Kelce is a scheme orchestrated by Satan, supposedly to enable Swift to ‘give birth to the antichrist’ and initiate an ‘apocalyptic thousand-year war,’ all while she continues her world tour.

Despite the absurdity of such theories, there is one that Swift finds particularly offensive, likely because it is so outrageous it’s more amusing than insulting.

For the ‘Love Story’ artist, one specific theory fails to amuse her.

During an appearance on ‘The Scott Mills Breakfast Show’ on BBC Radio 2, the host asked Swift if her newest album, The Life of a Showgirl, would be her last after her marriage to Kelce.

“I just saw some fans going, ‘Well, she’s going to get married and then she’s going to have children and then she’s going to be the last album’,” Mills explained.

Though Swift chuckled, she expressed that it is ‘a shockingly offensive thing to say’.

“It’s not why people get married,” she elaborated. “So that they can quit their job. It’s also like music for me is…” to which Mills interjected: “I think the fans were just panicking.”

“Oh, I know they love to panic sometimes,” Swift replied, “but it’s like I love the person that I am with because he loves what I do and he loves how much I am fulfilled by making art and music.

“The coolest thing about Travis is that he is so passionate about what he does, and my passion for my work connects us.”

“There’s no point in time where he’s gonna be like, ‘I’m really upset that you’re still making the music. The music thing that I signed up for that I knew you love, I thought you were gonna stop doing that.’”

Swift confirmed she has no intentions of leaving the industry she adores and highlighted a similarity between her and Kelce’s professions.

“We both, as a living, as a job, as a passion, perform for three and a half hours in NFL stadiums,” she mentioned. ‘We both do three-and-a-half-hour shows to entertain people. When I’m in those stadiums, it’s a dressing room, but when he’s in those exact same stadiums, it’s a locker room.”

“For him, it’s practice. For me, it’s rehearsal. For him, it’s a game. For me, it’s a show. We just call them different things.”

In August this year, Swift and the Kansas City Chiefs star announced their engagement after making their relationship public in the summer of 2023.
