The police are currently examining a TikTok video that is believed to be connected to the disappearance of 23-year-old Kada Scott.
Kada vanished earlier this month while she was at her job at an assisted living facility in Philadelphia.
The video shows a man, identified by police as 21-year-old suspect Keon King, peering through a window and attempting to gain entry. The person who uploaded the video claimed that King was trying to break into the property.
King faces charges of kidnapping and recklessly endangering another person in relation to Scott’s disappearance, as she has ‘completely vanished’.
Scott was reportedly in the middle of her shift at a residential home when she went missing.
First Deputy Commissioner Frank Vanore commented, “We need to find Ms. Scott, figure out where she is, what may have happened to her to cause her to completely disappear from all her items, her phone.”
Authorities have disclosed that Scott was in communication with King before her disappearance. However, the nature of their relationship is still unclear.
Vanore added, “Our evidence is pretty clear that she was in communication with an individual, that individual appears to meet her very shortly after she leaves her place of work, and very shortly after that, she disappears.”
Scott had also informed her family about being harassed, though it’s uncertain if she was referring to King.
Assistant District Attorney Ashley Toczylowski stated, “He did have a previous case. It was a 2025 case for very similar conduct, strangulation and kidnapping.”
“That case had been withdrawn by our office based on the witness failing to appear at court. I pulled that file, and after an extensive review of it, our office made the decision to refile those charges.”
Thanks to public tips, the police found King’s car, which is believed to be tied to Scott’s case.
The vehicle, a 1999 metallic gold Toyota Camry, was found on Wednesday (15 October) in the East Falls area of Philadelphia.
Toczylowski mentioned, “We believe she may have been in that vehicle.”
Vanore further explained, “We know it’s been in Mount Airy. We have photos of it in Center City, we have pictures of it in the Grays Ferry area, and in Southwest Philadelphia. So it’s possible that it could be anywhere, it could be outside the city.”
“… We are treating this as if Ms. Scott is still alive.”
Scott’s family has established a ‘verified reward fund’ on GoFundMe.
“I just need her to come home and be safe. That’s what I fear – she’s not safe,” said Scott’s mother, Kim Matthews, to WPVI.
