Jennifer Lawrence recently shared a candid perspective on filming intimate scenes in the nude, earning her praise from fans who see her as refreshingly honest. The 35-year-old actress, known for her breakout role as Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games series, has won an Academy Award and is a mother of two, as well as a documentary producer.
In her latest project, Die My Love, Lawrence portrays Grace, a young woman experiencing postpartum challenges. She and her partner Jackson, played by Robert Pattinson, relocate from New York City to his rural childhood home in search of tranquility.
Grace’s journey, however, is marked by feelings of isolation and psychological struggles, affecting her relationship and family life. The film, directed by Lynne Ramsay and produced by Martin Scorsese, is adapted from a 2012 novel and includes scenes where Lawrence dances nude with Pattinson.
During a press event for the film, Lawrence discussed her approach to the nude scenes in Die My Love compared to those in the 2023 comedy, No Hard Feelings.
“I don’t care about nudity,” she expressed in a TikTok video shared by Vulture, adding, “I’m not sensitive about it.”
She elaborated: “I wanted Lynne to have total freedom artistically.”
Reflecting on her experiences, Lawrence noted that being pregnant reduced her vanity anxieties. Before filming No Hard Feelings, she had been dieting and exercising rigorously.
Things changed for Die My Love, as she was expecting her second child with husband Cooke Maroney, 41.

“What was I gonna do? Like, not eat? I was working 15 hours a day. I was just tired.”
She recalled receiving a close-up image of cellulite with an offer to retouch it, to which she responded, “No. That’s an ass.”
Fans have responded positively to her openness, with one X user commenting, “Watching everyone on the TL remember how incredible Jennifer Lawrence is.”
Another fan said, “She is always a breath of fresh air,” while a third remarked, “Queen Behavior.”

In an interview with PEOPLE, Lawrence shared how she drew from personal experience for her role as Grace in Die My Love.
“I didn’t really end up having really bad postpartum [anxiety] until my second [baby],” she revealed on November 1.
With a three-year-old son and a newborn, Lawrence explained that her own mental health struggles added depth to her portrayal.
“You don’t have to have kids to play a parent, but knowing what a tiny person needs was helpful.”

In a conversation with The New Yorker, she discussed contemplating cosmetic surgery after her second child’s birth.
When questioned about considering a breast augmentation, she explained: “Everything bounced back, pretty much, after the first one. Second one, nothing bounced back.”
Lawrence added that she might not rush into surgery if it weren’t for future potential nude scenes but would still want the procedure even outside the limelight.
Die My Love is set to hit theaters on Friday, November 7.
