Kevin Spacey has addressed rumors about his alleged ‘homelessness’ following a recent interview that has stirred discussions online.
In a piece by The Telegraph dated November 19, Spacey shared insights on his current career endeavors and reflected on the years following allegations of sexual misconduct connected to his time on House of Cards.
In July 2023, he was found not guilty of all charges in a UK court. A year earlier, a jury had also cleared him of sexual assault and battery allegations in a civil case brought by accuser Anthony Rapp.
“The last seven years have offered me a lot of opportunity to reflect and be reminded of what I’m grateful for, and the people in my life,” Spacey expressed to The Telegraph, discussing his life post-accusations.

Spacey also mentioned the financial burden he has faced, leading to the loss of his house.
“I’ve had very little coming in and everything going out,” he openly stated.
Discussing his living conditions further, he said: “I’m living in hotels, I’m living in Airbnbs, I’m going where the work is. I literally have no home, that’s what I’m attempting to explain.”
His comments about being ‘homeless’ quickly made headlines globally, prompting Spacey to clarify his statement.
In an Instagram video posted on Sunday (November 23), Spacey commented: “Thousands of people have reached out over the past few days offering me a place to stay or have just asked if I’m okay. And to all of you, I am truly touched by your generosity full stop.”
He continued: “I feel it would be disingenuous to allow you to believe I am indeed homeless in the colloquial sense.
“I said I was basically living in hotels and Airbnbs and going where the work is, just as I did when I first started out in this business.
“I’ve been working nearly nonstop this entire year and, for that, I have so much to be grateful for.”
Spacey expressed empathy for those truly ‘living on the streets or in their cars’.
“It’s a shame that The Telegraph decided to undermine the work of their own journalist by selling him out with a knowingly misleading headline for the sake of clicks,” he concluded.
The newspaper has been approached for comment following Spacey’s statements.
