JoJo Siwa’s Ex Speaks Out on ‘Engagement’ Following Big Brother Breakup and Singer’s Boyfriend’s ‘Single’ Claim

Just half a year after parting ways with JoJo Siwa, Kath Ebbs has announced their engagement.

The breakup between Siwa and Ebbs happened earlier this year, allegedly during the conclusion of the Celebrity Big Brother party. This occurred amidst growing speculation about Siwa’s close relationship with Chris Hughes, a UK reality star who is now her boyfriend.

Following the breakup, Ebbs took to social media to express their feelings: “I feel so numbed out right now and so disorientated that I feel like the only thing I have to do to place this situation is to finally address it after two weeks of sitting back watching certain things unfold and not being able to get any clarity from the person that it involved.

“It seems to me I have experienced a version of [love bombing]. Being told I’m the love of someone’s life, being asked to marry them before this social experiment.

“Being adored throughout behind closed doors. Being hurt by what I saw but wanting to work through it and have a conversation and get clarity.”

While Siwa and Hughes have been enjoying their newfound relationship, Ebbs recently made headlines with their own engagement announcement.

During an Instagram Live session, it was revealed that Ebbs is now engaged to Tilly Lucas-Rodd. Interestingly, Ebbs attempted to connect with Tilly via Instagram two years ago but received no response at the time.

The couple started dating in July, and Ebbs shared their feelings online: “The rumours are true! YES I still (stupidly) believe in love!!”

Tilly humorously responded in the comments: “Thanks for sliding in (sorry for making you wait 2 years).”

However, it turned out that the announcement was actually a prank. Ebbs clarified the situation on Instagram, explaining that they and Tilly were joking during their live video.

“Guys, I’m pissing myself,” Ebbs told their followers. “So I just woke up and last night me and Tilly – to be fair – Tilly was pranking me and clicked TikTok live.

“I don’t think I’ve ever done a TikTok live in my life. But honestly sidenote, it was so fun. We ended up on there for way too long.

“TikTok Lives, as much as I hate that app so much, I think TikTok Lives might be my pocket because it was funny.”

Ebbs further elaborated on the engagement rumors, adding: “Anyways, me and Tills as a joke – someone asked because we both wear rings on our wedding fingers, so we had a whole running joke that ‘yeah, we’re engaged call the Daily Mail, we’re engaged.’

“And I’ve woken up to articles saying that me and Tilly are engaged.”

Ebbs laughed off the situation, noting, “And that my friends, is how fickle the news cycle is.”

They also shared several screenshots from the live video along with comments, amused by the assumptions about their engagement announcement.

On the other hand, Siwa and Hughes have confirmed their relationship. Siwa mentioned to The Guardian: “It’s not platonic any more, and it’s been a beautiful development, a beautiful connection, and I’m absolutely head over heels for him and he’s the same way.”

Meanwhile, Hughes described Siwa as ‘literally the love of [his] life’ in a conversation with E! News.

He elaborated: “She’s also my best friend. Like, we sit and do nothing together. We spend so much time with each other, just us captivated in this little world in our living room.

“But we actually went out and it didn’t hit us until we got home that that was actually our first proper date. So, it was lovely.”

Fans of Siwa were concerned when Hughes referred to himself as ‘single’ during Celebrity MasterChef.

“So, I live on my own. I’ve been single for three years, so it’s not like I’m cooking for anyone,” Hughes explained, adding, “If I’m just cooking for myself, no one can appreciate it, apart from me. It’s quite sad really, isn’t it? I need someone there to show off to in the kitchen, I’ve got the judges.”

It turns out that MasterChef was filmed before Celebrity Big Brother, despite airing later in the year.
